I just finished decorating my room but my walls are bare. What can i put on them?

My room is black and pink. Im having trouble finding things to put on my wall. my wall looks so bare and i need some type of decoration. maybe it might make my room be a little bit more comfortable for me. i need some ideas for things i can put in my room and where can i find it.

Art is a vary soothing thing to have in your room. Especially art with a lot of different colors. Also think about like a hanging fishtank or a hanging vase for flowers. All are cool. I know posters would be most people's first answer, but they don't always look good.

Mirrors and pictures are always great. I like the little floating shelves that stick out just far enough from the wall that you can prop of framed pictures or other knick knacks. Those are available at Home Depot and Lowes.

Art is good. Even if you don't have any artistic talent you could do something very simple like buy 3 canvases and paint them each a solid color that would complement or contrast with the walls and hang them in a row. That would be easy, inexpensive, dramatic, and unique.

1) Go to Lowe's, Home Depot or a local home improvement store. Buy some interesting moulding that's flat on the back side and make frames for your wall. You can use the frames for a collage, cut fabric the size of the frame and use the moulding to hold it in place, etc.

2) Also at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. buy some of the unfinished wooden architectural decorations (usually in the same aisle as the mouldings, etc.), paint and hang them.

3) Use cool magazine adds or newspaper pictures and make a collage on your wall.

4) Watch shows such as Trading Spaces or HGTV decorating programs to get ideas.

My daughter's room is grey and pink, and since she love Paris, we went with a Retro/Vintage Parisian theme.
Not Barbie/poodle, but very sophisticated. We bought plaques and framed posters at Kohl's, Michaels, craft shows. Try antique shops.
I also used burnished gold and champagne finished frames. Antique white or "shabby chic" type wrought iron looks cool with this theme. Black and white or old-fashioned hand-tinted photos also look great. There are several burgundy accents in her room, as well.
She also added many items that reflect her own personality, so there is a nice mix. Very feminine, she gets a lot of compliments on her room!

Print some pictures on the computer, stuff you like. Run to walmart and buy some posters. They are only like $4 each. Mirrors are a good way to add some room. Buy some small wooden shelves at Walmart, you can paint them yourself, and screw them onto the wall and put little nick nacks on them.

Maybe put some stuff up form a sport or somehting that you play...any awards or soemthing....try some nice shelves and put up some knick-knacks...also, you could get some posterboard or something and make a "you" collage...or paint a picture of your favorite flower...thats what i did and i love my room!in fact, im running out of wallspace...hmmm.

Is your style "retro?" Get some of those brass shelves, or pictures with wide brass frames, or some black 78 rpm records hung in a diamond design. I love pink and black!! Wish I could see it!
