I'm assuming that the walls are part of the vaulted ceiling? You can paint them a color that goes with the other colors you have going on. You can make a scaffolding or rent one to reach the height. You can get quotes for a painter to come out. If the height itself is bothering you and you want to "lower the ceiling" you could hang a type of canopy length wise of the ceiling with a fabric that you love.

Paint the vault a coordinating color to the walls, or, sky blue with stenciled gold stars. (That's what I would do :)
