They don't tell you on the liquid gel how many loads it runs (filling only the single cup). I like the hard powder blocks that are split into even loads (they'll tell you 20 in a box). How can I compare how many loads are in the gel detergent package?

I have carpet at home, and need a vacuum cleaner preferably with good suction, and bagless.
A Dyson is good but $600 is just too much for a vacuum cleaner...

Can anyone recommend a good vacuum cleaner preferably below $100?? Comments on its suction, filters, duability, etc would be helpful!

Thank you!!

I live with my boyfriend and now his brother just moved in. Any tips on how to keep the apartment smelling nice and looking clean without having to scrub all day long? We all know those boys aren't going to be doing any of the cleaning and candles just won't cut it.

Is it because the actual process will harm the dishes? Or is it because the detergent used in the machine will harm them? Or both?

I have gold trimmed china and am wondering if I used a gentler detergent- without bleach such as The Method instead of the usual Electrasol- would it be ok to put it in the dishwasher?

Why do they smell? They smell better going in than coming out? Never had this problem with the last washer. Same water, same detergent, same bunch of dirty clothes makers.
huh???
Anybody got an answer or solution?

How would i go about cleaning / sterilising one of those jacuzzi baths. I have heard that unless you clean them with some sort of detergent / antibacterial stuff they can harbor germs in the pipes. Dont know if this is true or not, but have ive just bought a house with one instaled, so would like to thourughly clean it before use. I saw "How clean is your house" on TV once where they did this, but I cant remember the stuff they used.

My mom washes her mop cloths and her dish cloths in the same load of laudry because she soaks her mop cloths in bleach and very hot water for an hour before. do you think this is sanitary?

I know bleach kills germs but it seems like floors and food shouldn't mix, regarless. Is it the concept that bothers me, or is there an actual problem with it?

My mother is coming home from hospital tomorrow after having extensive plastic surgery. This has caused my father to feel insecure and try to recapture his youth.
This morning whilst trying to have a huge clean round in preparation for my mother's homecoming, my sister and myself found a box of dirty video's under their bed.
They're disgusting and we don't know what to do about them.
Covered in coffee and tea stains, obviously used as coasters, one's got chewing gum stuck on it, several of them have white stains on them, paint or tippex. None of them are in their original boxes either.
Basically we need to know can they be cleaned up, and if so what can we use

When I mean filthy it is very dirty. I'm just wondering can a rug be so dirty that a professional steamclean won't help at all ? If it helps even just a little, I will get it done.

I wash my towels in hot water and always add a liitle bleach to disinfect them. the problem is after I take a shower and dry myself off, I have to immediately put the towel in the hamper after just using it that one time, because as soon as the towel gets wet, it has that smell to it, like when you leave a pile of wet clothes in the washer, sort of like rotten water. what can I do, is it time for new towels?

I use bicarb soda for many cleaning purposes, including nappy-soaking and I would like to buy in bulk instead of 500g or 1kg packs. Does anyone know of a co-op or retail store in Melbourne, Australia where I can buy in bulk? Or an online seller that delivers here?
