I'm afraid that after five years there is nothing anyone can do to permanently remove your crease. This is because the backing of your carpet may have separated, in which case you can pay to have the carpet re-stretched but the crease will just come back.
Ripples or creases in carpet seems to be a natural phenomena which is why most carpet stores charge you money to re-stretch carpet. Personally, I am a Flooring Design Consultant at a company that takes better care of our customers than that. We'll re-stretch any carpet that we installed for free. But I'm afraid there are not very many stores like us out there.
Good Luck and Sorry for the bad news.

You can have it restretched and retacked if it is wall to wall carpet. Most carpet places will do it for 25-50 dollars or you can get a carpet knee kicker yourself and do it yourself. If it is an area rug, you can mist the backing and the front of the rug, have a helper pull the rug out toward the corner, anchor the corner with a heavy weight, hit the crease with a hot blow dryer and while the fiber is still wet and stretched, place a heavy weight on the crease so that it shrinks and stays flat. Then, use carpet tape that is heavy duty double sided to tape under where the crease was and all along the sides of the area rug.

depending on where the crease is you can put a damp cloth on it and put something heavy on the crease. Like big cans of some sort like to weigh it down or refold the crease into the oposite direction

yes, contact a carpet store and they will come out with a carpet stretcher and the job will be done, to do it, you would need a carpet stretcher, and a professional to do the job correctly

You could try a wet tea towel with a hot iron to loosen the carpet fibres, then iron over again with brown wrapping paper.

Have the carpet either restretched or replaced.
5 years? I'd replace it.
