spray the fruit snack pieces and slightly around with WD40 then use paper towels to pull them out of the carpet. The WD 40 will not hurt the carpet. It is all natural (just fish oil). Then use a carpet cleaner to clean the spot (like resolve spot cleaner). No more sticky mess.

Some way as out of clothes, water. You may have to wet, soap, blot, blot, blot and then start over again. These are sugar based so water and a little soap should do it. For blotting avoid paper towels, they aren't very absorbant anymore. Use microfiber cloths, tissues (gobs at a time) or even TP.

Warm water would work faster and if you have a hair dryer to warm the water when it's on the carpet, great...........but don't cook the sugar back in.....just warming.

take a clean wet rag & place it on the spot then get a iron on high heat & put it on the rag for about 30 sec wipe with clean rag ,reheat if you did not get it all out
(ps dont pick it out because then you get a bald spot or tear the carpet)

Just a thought but what if you heated it with a blowdryer
to soften the candy ,and then try to use other cleaners
after getting the worst up by picking it out by hand.
