I would take a look at the products they have in the cleaning aisle at the grocery store. Tarnx or Brasso would do the trick. Check labels to see which would be the best for copper.
But do keep in mind that the green oxidation on copper is sought after and quite fashionable! So you may just want to spruce up the item a bit and go with it!

My mother had copper bottom pans that we used a copper paste to clean after each use. It was available wherever silver and gold cleaners are.

with flour, lemon juice and water. My husband worked in catering for 30 yrs and that´s the way they kept all there nice copper pots and pans clean

copper will brighten up using a solution of salt and lemon juice gently rubbed on the surface. good luck

go to a ace hardware or any hard ware store even walmart or target may have it look for a cleaner that is spefically for brass and copper.

NOXON tarnish remover. It's available in any hardware or home center. Forget the home remedies, they don't work well.
