Tie a ribbon around a woollen sock, the ribbon should be twice the depth of the radiator, thread ribbon through slot in radiator, the pull the ribbon top to raise the sock and pull up from the bottom to move the sock downwards.

I made my own wee cleaning tool to solve the same problem. Thread two or 3 feathers together - strong thread sewn through the stems - and attach these to a long length of string or twine. Attach something small but fairly heavy to the string just above the feathers. Drop feathers down each compartment and pull back up with the string. Works a treat!

Try this: Take a cardboard tube (the kind wrapping paper or aluminum foil come on) and stick it on the end of your vacuum hose, collapse the other end small enough to get into the radiator. I hope this helps.

Can you thread a piece of yarn through, and floss that space? Or maybe tie a rag or paper towel to the string, and floss it with that?
