I have carpet at home, and need a vacuum cleaner preferably with good suction, and bagless.
A Dyson is good but $600 is just too much for a vacuum cleaner...
Can anyone recommend a good vacuum cleaner preferably below $100?? Comments on its suction, filters, duability, etc would be helpful!
Thank you!!

I've looked up Bissell vacuum cleaners, they seem cheap but a lot of people complain that they lose suction completely over 3 months...
And that you need to constantly clean the filters...

We are hard on sweepers in my home. I have found the Eureka' s to be the longer lasting sweeper as far as cheap. if you keep the underside cleaned out good and new bags the suction seems to stay strong longer. They are pretty lite too so you can move them around the house easier. The bags and belts are also cheap.

Why not try a "refurbished" vacuum from a vacuum repair shop... People often trade in or drop off broken vacuums and the owner fixes and sells them for very, very inexpensive.. I had an older Hoover with bags I wish I hadn't gotten rid of, it worked just fine but, I got a new "fancy" one for a gift.. It turned out to be a piece of junk.. Also, when purchasing a vacuum think about the extended warranty.. Afterall it is a piece of equipment that is used very, very regularly and it needs basic upkeep... I got a HOOVER SAVVY as a gift ( not the same as the "junk" one mentioned earlier.. about 4 yrs. ago and I purchased the extended 3 yr. warranty and I'm very glad I did.. When the suction became weak I just took it to the local service center and had it cleaned/checked for free... Normally, I would've "junked" it but, the warranty has saved me lots and lots of money ! Incidently, the HOOVER SAVVY was rated in Consumer Reports last year as well as the DYSON in performance and cost about 1/2 as much including the extended warranty....It's a canister vacuum with a Hepa filter and onboard attachments.. It's not too heavy.. The filer lasts about 2 yrs. and cost $40 to replace. It's still a bit over $100... I think it's around $150. Also, maybe invest in a refurbished KIRBY... My mother in law and my grandmother in law both have one they received as wedding presents over 30 yrs. ago for my MIL and my GMIL is over 60 yrs old and still runs like a champ ! .. Every other yr. they get them rebuilt for under $20 so it's like a brand new vacuum everytime.. If you can find a used one they are very, very good although the old models are on the heavy side... You may be able to find them at ESTATE, TAG or Garage Sales as well.... Good luck

I can always find a good vacuum at Sears. Their Kenmore brand is really good. I think that the last one I bought was less than $65.00(got it new, off of eBay). I've had it for over 3 years now and it still works fine. I just clean the filters on it about once every few months. It has always had good suction. My Mom has always said that she wouldn't buy anything else. Of course she has the fancier one!

I do car detailing and bought my vaccuum at Bunnings for onlt $99!!! Its a Shop Vac Pro with 1300w suction, can be used wet or dry and is bagless. I clean my partners workshop with it all the time and it has never lost section or let me down. The filters are about $50 each but I just dust it out and wash it occasionlly and it's lasted me about 7mths so far!

Suck it up (pun) and by the Dyson. You will just buy 5 cheeps vacs in the next 7 years. And you could have a Dyson for $400-550. So over the long run you pay less and have the better vaccuum

I just bought my son one at Sears, don' t ask what kind, it was an up right, on sale and I made about $125.00 for it. He loves it. I bought it on the recommendation from the salesman. You might try there.
I have a Orkin and I love it, but it cost a fortune. I'm not sure that he doesn't have as good of one as I have. At least he can throw it away and not cry about it when it quits working.
