I am constantly embarrassed when people come to the house. They instantly wrinkle their noses or fan their face when they enter. Some guests won't even stay inside. Everyone says how bad the cat odor is in the house. I can't smell it, so I am always amazed at the reactions. I'll admit, my cats are a little "dirty" and more often than not, miss the litterbox. In some areas, the carpet is stiff with dried cat pee. I've tried Fabreze and various pet odor eliminators on the carpets near the litter boxes, but I'm still getting the same reactions. There's no sense in pulling up the rugs and getting new ones while I still have the cats. I tried that in the front hallway. I even sponged the floor, but the odor is still there, I'm told. How come I can't smell it?

A friend of mine said her house cleaner would organize junk drawers or organize her canned goods, etc. Do any of you have house cleaners that do extra special things for you that you didn't ask for? Do any of you have any ideas? I want to impress my clients so they want to keep me.

Thanks!

It is 100% wool and the label says dry clean only. i know i can handwash some of my wool sweaters but I dont want to risk it on the coat. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Can I handwash it or will that damage the fabric?

My kitchen just burned down today and there is soot all over the place. I need a simple method to remove soot from my laptop (keyboard, screen), digital piano (keys), and the furnitures. What if the soot has already been smeared, is there any way to remedy this? Any help would be appreciated.

serious question. The side of the bed were my boyfriend sleeps the sheets turn like a darker color just like his pillow case and then the actual pillow is yellow when i take the pillow case off. My boyfriend is clean, is it maybe because sometimes he sweats at night. usually men get hot in bed and the women are cold lol. My mom had seen his undershirts once when i was doin laundry and the whites turn almost greyish under the arms like stains that dont bleach out my mom said maybe the color of his skin is coming off lol ( hes black) but there is no way that can be so why the hell is everything turing color! even the new matress cover is yellowish.
serious answers please

Is it ok instead of throwing a apple core away in the garbage can and worrying about fruit flies and stuff, to throw it down the disposal? Also just wondering, what other food items do you put down yours?

We have a plantation style front porch that is terribly stained with that Georgia red clay. I've tried bleach, pressure washing, scrubbing but nothing is working. It's also stained the base of my white columns. Other than hiring a professional are there any easier remedies I can try first?

I have some white wooden blinds, and the slats are getting a bit grubby even though I dust them. They look like the could all do with a little wash. It would take ages to do each slat by hand and wondered, if I should take them down and wash them gently in the bath , with some mild soap ?

What d'ya think? Shall I?
