I put all my clothes into bags to wash, now I want to get rid of everything I don't need. But, I have the 'I might need that someday' syndrome. I am planning to move soon. How do I decide what to keep/throw?

The best solution I've found is to ask yourself "will I miss this when it's gone"? If no,
donate it to a local charity. Then at least it won't be going to waste.

Start by seperating all the lclothes... DONATE,TOSS,MEND, KEEP.... Take the donate one immedieately to the car and toss it in the trunk. Try on all the KEEPS and decide what looks best on you.. If it's ill-fitting get rid of it.. If you haven't worn it in a yr. get rid of it ! Pack up out of season clothing and store elsewhere for the move.. If you have a basement/attic space... I like to use/label rubbermaid tubs.. If you have things you'd like to sell try craigslist/ebay.. I just sold some baby things for around $25 and got some NEW clothes ! If you don't have a charity organization near you.. Go online and contact your local freecycle.org group and post an OFFER for free clothing.. Someone should be able to pick it up and take it off your hand... If you have classic/staple pieces keep them if they fit well or can be altered to fit well... .Good luck

3 boxes .
1, I love this so I will keep it.
2, I will never wear this again ,and it´s in need of repair so throw it out.
3, It´s not really my style anymore , and If I keep it I will only throw it away at a later date. so I´ll put this in the box and take it to my local church to give to charity.

If you haven't woren or used any of it in a few months, toss it out. Why save it? If it's too big or small ..... OUT THE DOOR WITH IT. My mother in law was a might need it person and when she passed away it was a mess. Not only did she keep clothes but cans of food, pans, etc.
I've always said if you don't use it pitch it.

If you have not worn it in the last 6 months, throw it out.
If it doesn't fit you anymore... throw it out.
Be ruthless.
Even better sell what doesn't fit you on Ebay then you can go and buy more clothes. : )

If it still fits and you like it keep it. Only you can decide how much your willing to move. How much closet space do you have where your moving to might help you make that decision

If you haven't worn it in a year, throw it out.If it needs repairs that you can't do,toss it.It would probably be cheaper to buy new than get someone to fix it.

Throw out whatever you haven't worn for two years.

Donate the whole bag to charity, and that's it.
