my red-bone bird dog was bad to chase the chickens, so when she caught one , i tied it around her neck to break her of the habit. it didn't work and now she stinks really bad! i guess daddy was wrong.

My husband and I went away for a while, and he swore he made sure to throw away anything that would go bad in the fridge while we were gone. Well, low and behold, we come back and the fridge smells AWFUL! Turns out he left raw chicken breast in the bottom of it... I won't even open it now, because I can't stand the smell. I even went so far as to buy one of those citrus-scented deodorizers that suck up the smells, made for a whole house, and put it in there. How, now the fridge smells like an rotten lemony-orange chicken, and that thing is totally defunct. Any ideas for (hopefully quick!) deodorizing of my fridge???

Hi there. A few months ago, I bought a couple of nice Polo button down shirts (about $75 apiece). Only after about four washes, both shirts started fading around the neck.

Both shirts are blue and faded to a pinkish-purplish color around the crease of the neck.

I think I'm doing everything right:
I'm washing in cold water;
I'm not using a lot of detergent (tide liquid cold water);
I'm washing on the gentle cycle;
I'm using the extra rinse;
I'm washing each shirt alone;
I'm filling the basket up with water first, putting the detergent in, then putting the clothes in;
I'm air drying the shirts after each wash (maybe 10 minutes in the dryer on delicate);

What else can I do??? Could I possibly get my money back from Dillards?

I was extremely careful with both shirts because I've had this happen to other shirts. I'm using a pretty new (and pretty expensive) Whirlpool top-loading washer.

Any ideas? Please help me. I'm tired of wasting my hard-earned dollars!

Has anyone had a problem with a front loading washing machine on the 2nd floor of their home?
I am considering getting a Whirlpool Duet GHW9400 or a LG Bromm SteamWash WM2487HRM. I have heard that putting a front load washer on the SECOND floor is not a good idea because of excessive vibration. (Front loading washers spin so fast that vibration can be a problem even if the machine is level.)
If you have had this problem and found a way to resolve it, can you let me know what worked for you? Thanks

i've just used clorox's bleach to clean my bathroom. as the bleach smell was too strong, i used lysol neutra air spray to cover the smell. after an hour, my bathroom smells disgusting: a mixture of dead fish and fried stuff. does anyone know what i can do to remove the odor?

we bought one about three months ago and it quit working on Saturday. From the owners manual, it says that the circuit board is out. Just wondering if this is normal for this brand, and should we have gone with the maytag washer and dryer that we had looked at instead of this one. Right now that is looking like the better option to me.........

I stupidly washed my place mats that I spilled hamburger grease on. I had pre-soaked them in laundry detergent and hot water and then thought I could wash them better in the washing maching. Stupid. Now my washer is totally grease. Is there anything that I can put in the washer and run in an empty load to get the grease out? We do not have hot water running to our washer, only cold so bear that in mind. Thanks very much!

There are crayon marks on my white piano keys! The piano tuner said the best way he's found is to dilute "Tough and Tender" and it works like a charm. My piano is a very nice Baldwin and he said that it would be the safest to use without risking any damage. He said not to use on the black keys though. I don't know how to get this product yet but has anyone used it for this purpose?

My mom bought me a nice XL cotton sweater for me even though I'm a size medium. I decided to just wash it normally to shrink it but it shrank just a tad more than I had hoped. Tugging on the sweater to stretch it has helped a little, but the back of the sweater occasionally rides above the pantline and I was wondering if there was a simple way to stretch it an extra inch or two?

I've learned that washing colors in warm water is generally a bad idea. But if the tag on a colored shirt says use warm water, should I? I don't want it to fade though.
