Okay...My Mother has been doing this for 35 yrs up here in Massachusetts..Now she gave up years ago on an hourly rate, she figures her time, effort, and the job together in one flat rate.
This would fall under her prices for Spring Cleaning..or heavy work...washing windows, floors, and so on...she starts with a base price...hers is 17.00 per hour..that is for time, next she adds cleaning materials or the cleaners she uses, how tough is the job is next..windows with getting up and down on ladders etc..she adds that to the price..per window...etc.
She then comes up with a total price for all the services the client wants. It will average out to about 25.00 per hour or..we will say 10 windows..250.00...you'll have to work out how much you want for the time, the service, and the items cost per job...her rule of thumb is. she breaks down the services into catagories..vacuum and dust is regular work..so regular price...cleaning ovens, heavy floor cleaning..wax and wash..heavy work..more money..break things down into jobs per price, less chance of you being cheated for your effort..and it will impress the client that maybe once or twice a year..is not the best idea to maintain a house of any size...Good Luck

A hell of a lot! This is a big job, obviously I would look over the oven, bathrooms, fridge etc before even begining to price it. Obviously the prices for these areas should be higher than the other areas. You might even consider a daily charge rather than an hourly. I would also request the actual expenses for the cleaning products used.

I would charge a minimum of $250 to 300 a day. That is more than reasonable. You may even tell them if they sign a contract with you to clean once a month to keep it up rather than a once a year job you would consider reducing your fee.

I agree with the cheez... It would be difficult to estimate such a job. Charge by the hour. If the client is worried that the total would be too high, then ask them what their limit is, and what thier priorities are. Then you might start with the bathrooms and kitchen, and move on to the less critical stuff.
