how do you remove the shine from a iron on clothing?

I don't think you will be able to remove the shine unless it will come out when washed again. You may have your iron too hot for the fabric that you are ironing. And ironing inside out is also a good idea. But try turning the iron temp down. This has happened to me b4 and that was the cause. Good luck.

Try ironing clothing from inside.
