Yes, However, they take HOURS to completely dry. You have to put a tennis ball in the dryer with it. The ball beats the down, which helps it dry faster. It still may take 3 hours or more

Just don't use a very aggressive detergent like gain. Use purex or an off brand. Just use cold water on the gentle cycle, light wash. When you're ready to dry it. Drape it over the shower for a couple hours to get out the excess water. Also, put tennis balls in the dryer with it to keep the feathers separated. Then put it in the dryer on low heat. It will be fine!!!! how do you think the cleaners does it. They don't really "dry" clean. they wash it the way i just suggested.

We did. Takes a while for the down to spread out and un-bunch itself but it can be done. Warm water and cool dry. The price of dry cleaning is not worth it. If it gets ruined there are always sales where you can replace it for the same thing they want to charge to dry clean.

I would only trust the dry cleaner. Call around for prices first to find the least expensive
I'm not sure if they make it anymore but try Dryel. You can use it at home for the items that are marked "Dry Clean Only". I've heard decent review for shirts and pants but never heard it on comforters.

I put a shoe inside a sock and used that to beat the down up as it drys. I have also used a hockey puck inside a sock or two... the object has to be heavy enough but not so heavy that it beats up ur machine... it is pretty simple to do and works great... dry cleaning... na...i don't

No, if it says Dry Clean Only, it means it. Some down comforters can be washed in a washing machine, but if it specifically states it has to be dry cleaned, then don't ruin it by trying to wash it.

YES, JUST WASH IT ON PERMANENT PRESS
(WITH DELICATE SOAP AND SOFTENER),
IT IS VERY HARD TO DRY,
IF YOU BUY TENNIS BALLS AND PUT THEM IN THE DRYER WITH THE COMFORTER,
THEY WILL HELP,
BY HITTING THE COMFORTER AND KEEPING THE FEATHERS SEPARATED, SO IT DRIES EASIER...
YOU CAN DRY IT ON A REGULAR DRYER SETTING
