I am wondering if I am doing way more laundry than I need to be. How many loads of laundry do you do a week/day etc if you have a family of 5? If you have a smaller family be sure to let us know.

Had the mattress (only a few months old) professionally cleaned already. The only problem is that doing so only worked about 65% on the smell. I'm told the mattress has been sanitized now though and it's good for use again. But how can I ultimately rid the mattress of its prevailing smell? Products, tips, or anything else please!

Tonight I have just had a nice salad and afterwards I loaded up the dishwasher. The dishwasher is a usual size with brackets for plates, cups and bowls as well as a tray for the cutlery.

However, I am sure there is more room available but I can't figure it out.

They have the rubber backing and it seems like all the rugs I've owned this backing crumbles after a few launderings.

I have a cashmere sweater that some douchebag poured wet flour all over. It dried up, and is now caked. How do I remove the flour so that the sweater will still retain its fluffiness?

Most of the big chunks of flour was removed by soaking, but it still has bits and pieces, which makes the sweater harsh.

I have asked around, but I don't know how effective dry cleaning would be for the sweater, nor do i know if it will damage the softness of the sweater.

The sweater is black, in case you're wondering.

I do not want to shrink it, and its cotton. Do i throw it in with other whites like socks? Do I wash them cold, warm, or hot? will color safe bleach be okay? i hang dry my shirts, so drying isnt really a concern, but i need help with the washing portion.

Should i just be safe and wash it by itself on warm with color safe bleach??
