My daughter spilled a container of dulce de leche, carmel on the living room carpet.

as soon as a stain happens, FLOOD the stain with just about anything, windex is great, watered down or not, vinegar cleaner, laundry soap, flood the stain first, wipe in the direction of the carpet (for longer shag) by "flooding it" you bring the stain to the surface and then wipe it away, if its not gone the first time, try again, but always "flood" the spot before you wipe it. I have beige medium shag carpet and took out tomato macaroni beef baby food, not any sign of it there and its been 2 months. Use a wet dry too, to suck out the excess water.

Folex is the best stuff I have ever used. I've cleaned up pet mess, red wine, dirt and lots of other stains with it. It's even great on old stains and you can use it in a steam cleaner. You can buy it at Home Depot.

mmm dulce de leche. been years since i had that. tough stain try an industrial cleaner or just put a rug over it lol

Personally, I love Spot Shot. It gets out everything including juice, chocolate and pet stains. Love it!

always use hot water first. spray it on the carpet with saturating it. take a scrub brush and rub the area in a circular motion. If, that doesn't work, try shout.

use of club soda. will take up any thing. hydryenproxide works on stain as well.
