I'm a junior doctor, living in hospital accommodation with 2 other people sharing a kitchen and living room. One of my flatmates keeps cooking fish (at least a couple of times a week) and it makes the whole flat stink for days. Personally, I hate fish and even the smell of it makes me feel physically sick, however I'm well aware of the fact that I can't expect her to stop eating fish just because of me!

So how can I best get rid of the smell from the flat? I've tried scented candles and various different air freshener sprays, but nothing seems to be able to overpower the smell of fish. I'd REALLY appreciate any advice on this!

Me and my family have lived in our apartment for almost a year now. All the cabinets in the kitchen have a small smoke/ash odor to them, especially under the sink. We have tried Lysol, candles, anything you can think of to make the smell go away, but nothing has worked. Any ideas? Thanks.

I received some clothes from my Grandma and they have yellow spots on them. I washed them and they are still there. I'm not sure if they are rust spots, stains from coffee or what. Any ideas??

There just little pieces of cement no bigger then a nickel and it made the glass look all foggy and nasty and I was wondering if there like a chemical compound or something I can use to break it down. If there is, is there anyway you can make it at home using household products? Please and Thank You

I am a nurse and have a very hard and stressful work week. I try hard not to just leave things lying around, but sometimes I am to tired to fold the laundry before I go to bed and so it sits there til morning. Also I live with someone that tends to be messy. Dirty clothes on the floor, office has papers all over the floor, doesn't like to do dishes. I am just one person and I only have so much time and energy to devout to cleaning and when I do that I don't have time to give to myself for rest and fun. How do we get the place clean and stay on top of it so it doesn't turn back into a pig sty. PLEASE HELP!!

Looking for ways to keep the house clean with less time. What rooms to start with first and what methods work the quickest. Example do you dust or vacuum first? Also looking for tips on the best overall cleaning product to move from room to room with ease. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Over the years of use, my baking sheets have become coated with black grease. I've tried soaking the pans in hot, soap water and scrubing with a Dobie, but it does not remove any of the baked-on stuff. Is there anything I can do, or should I just replace them?

The paintwork in my house - doors, skirting boards - is discoloured through tobacco smoke. I intend using Mangers Sugar Soap to clean it down, now that we have both stopped smoking.
I have read somewhere that unless you wash every last trace of it off the woodwork, you will have problems painting. But I don't intend painting it for a while - the paint is sound. Its just discolouration.
Any experiences or tips?

Im a 16 year old girl, and im required to share a room with my 9 year old brother, who loves his legos and toys. There is just not enough room in our little room, and his stuff always gets mixed up with mine. He refuses to pick up his stuff when he is done, and I need some help on getting organized, and teaching him to get organized. This is a real problem, lol.

In our room, we have a
bunk bed,
a 5 shelf bookcase,
a 7 drawer desk,
and a 6 drawer dresser.

there is not enough room in the closet with the toybox to put anything, and all of my clothes wont even fit hanging up in there.

any advice/tips?

thank you muchhh.
