For all oil, the only true way to get it out is a detergent. The less water you use at first the better. A little straight dishwashing liquid or even better, dishwasher powder will break up the oil and keep it from sticking to surfaces (plastic is terrible for that) just use your fingers to massage the soap into the film (works for the sticky film on cupboards and the vent hood too) then rinse with copious amounts of wicked hot water, just cool enough to keep from melting the bowl (start a pot of water to boil and let it cool for 5 monutes off of the heat). Then wash as normal to make sure that the soap is all rinsed away.

Try the new Dawn Direct Foam. It works great. Just a squirt on your sponge or dish cloth with hot water and this should do the trick. I love this stuff. Hope this helps.

Scrub items with palmolive and a plastic scouring pad and no water, then rinse clean. This ALWAYS works for me.
