Do I have to put my pilot lights out to clean? What can I use to clean around the pilot lights and thingers where the gas comes out? Is it safe to use ammonia- or bleach-based cleaners?

I came home tonight and my cats had knocked a bottle of red wine from the top of my fridge onto my ceramic tile floor. I'm really worried about the grout because I rent. I got down and scrubbed it with Clorox OxiMagic but it still looks very dingy. Does anyone know of a better way to clean it?
Thanks!

It is white latex paint on a pair of medium to dark blue jeans. Not sure if it is water or oil based, so please address both (if this is even possible).

I left the burner on accident and left an oven mitt on top of it. It's one of those flat oven tops where the burners are kinda "inside" the whole thing..... meaning it's all flat on top - no removable burners or anything like that. Is there any way to salvage that burner? Did I ruin it? Can I clean it off with anything??? HELP!

Is it bad to use anti-bacterial stuff? Which cleaning solution is the best? (I normally take everything out and wash the racks in the sink. Then I wipe the inside w/ a wet, soapy washcloth). Thanks!!

the germs are killed everytime you use the microwave,sp why go to all the trouble to clean it,even if it does look gross.

I just bought a new microfiber blanket and it seems to shed small little balls of fuzz. I love the blanket because it is nice and warm and soft, but it kinda makes a mess. I have tried washing it in hopes the fuzzy things will come off, but it didnt do much. Any ideas? Best advice gets the 10 points!!!

would you clean the bathroom first or the kitchen?

Also, what to you is your top priority to clean when guests are not over? The bathroom or kitchen?

A pen split all over our white cotton sofa cover last night and I have put it in on a wash with bleach and washing powder to soak but it still hasn't come out. How can I get it out? Its a rented apartment and I don't want to have to pay out extra for a new sofa.

Sometime around the time that my mother passed away, when I was very vulnerable, a cat showed up around my house. I took it in against the rules of my lease, and THEN found out that my best friend is severely allergic to cats. I didn't know it was such a hardship for her but she gets really sick and hasn't come over since I had the cat. The cat is now gone but I need to get rid of the allergens left behind, I want my friend back!

I do have an ionic air purifier, how much is this going to help? I have carpeted surfaces and also vinyl flooring, not much soft furniture except my bed and a chair. Add to this that I am going through the household to finally declutter behind my late mother and sort items for passing on to family members...so the cleaning process will be harder because I am having to shift things around that are in limbo.

Don't want to steam clean the carpets, I did this recently and can't afford it or the time. Any other cheap, easy solutions? Products?

I live with two roommates and it has quickly turned into a problem (mostly for one roommate) not cleaning. We've decided to make a chore list.
I'm looking for a basic outline I can find online where i can later add specifics for our needs.
Some kind of general outline. Anything is helpful, thanks

We have a grand piano that I assume has a black lacquer finish. We have allowed a thin coating of dust to accumulate on the top.

Does anyone know how to get the dust off so we don't scratch the finish? We have a polishing cloth that came with the piano, but I'm afraid of causing scratches with the dust on the surface.
