would you clean the bathroom first or the kitchen?

Also, what to you is your top priority to clean when guests are not over? The bathroom or kitchen?

Do both. Easy. A 5 minute fix for the house:

Start in the front room, grab everything that isn't supposed to be there and toss it on your bed. Go to kitchen.

In the kitchen, gather everything off of the counters and stove that isn't supposed to be there and put it all in the kitchen sink, wipe down all surfaces with a kitchen towel and then cover the stuff in the sink with the towel. Go to bathroom.

Same with bathroom only put it all in the tub and close the curtain or the shower door. Take one dirty towel and get a part wet and wipe all surfaces down, including the outside of the toilet and the toilet seat ( both sides) and the inside of the toilet seat lid. Spray the mirror and the faucet with windex and wipe with the towel. Toss the towel into the tub. Put a fresh roll of paper on the back of the toilet tank and you are done.

If you don't believe this can work, even on a messy apartment or large house, just try it. You'll be surprised what you can do in 5 minutes if you don't pay attention to details and just flame it.

Kitchen has to be clean guy, that's where the stuff you put in your mouth comes from.

If guest are coming over clean the bathroom first. If you have no guest coming over, you are in the kitchen more often and should keep it clean before the bathroom.

Whether I'm expecting guests or not, my routine is living room (where my guest would go first), kitchen (on route to the bathroom), dining room (really always clean so it takes NO time), bathroom and then my bedroom, if time runs out, I close my bedroom door.

The bathroom with a quick tidy up. Your bathroom would have the appearance that you normally keep it this way. As for the kitchen you have the excuse that you just ate or are about to so you can get away with it possibly.

that's a good question.
i've never actually thought about it.
i know a dirty bathroom is one of my things to have fits over. i hate a nasty bathroom.
i'd say clean the bathroom and then do the dishes.
but that is a good question

the bathroom is a must, but you should always be sure both are done, no one wants to eat or drink from a kitchen plagued with grime, and lets face it no one likes a filthy toilet.
