pouring white wine on top of red wine and wiping with a kitchen towel will lift it out. Normally this should be done straight away but you could give it a try

With an old stain, you may not be able to get it out at all. The two things I would try are a strong solution of Oxi-Clean or a spray called Spot Shot. Soak the stain with either one, and then use an old light colored towel to soak up the liquid. Hopefully it will bring up the stain with it (white paper towels will work if you don't have an old light colored towel, but you may have to use a *lot* of them!)

I will caution you, whatever you try, try it in a hidden area first...I once cleaned up some spots with Spot Shot and ended up with light spots on the carpet where it was cleaner than everywhere else.

whilst crimson wine is spilled onto your carpet, white wine could be your genuine important different. White wine will neutralize crimson wine and could make it much less complicated to advance the colour off of your carpet. merely pour white wine over the stained section and extremely gently blot the liquid up with a thick towel (be very careful to no longer rub as this could stress the stain into the carpet fibers). as quickly as you have the final public of the spill blotted up, take your popular carpet shampoo and clean as you're able to if the wine stain have been slightly airborne dirt and dirt on the carpet. greater tips and techniques on the positioning indexed below.

This carpet cleaner called Resolve I found works SO well on new and old wine stains! Try it... actually it's so good I tried it to get red wine out of my pillow case and it worked for that too!

Oh and make sure it's the Resolve Dual Power one!
