Cleaning & Laundry - October 2006

Hi I am a poor lazy bum, if I'd prefer to wash my shirts in laundry without drying, which level (hot/warm/synthtic) should I use? After the wash, shall I just hang them up to let gravity do the job? Or do I have to iron them to make it crispy smooth?

Any time and money saving tips would do, thanks a bundle!

Responses to my previous question on which hoover is the best, seem to be split on dysons. Have you had one? How long have you had it? Which model do you have? Does it work well? If not, why not?
Thanks. :)

Thanks.

Hi all, I have a Indesit washing machine that is producing the most vile disgusting smell come up through my kitchen sink everytime I use it. I have tried putting bleach down the sink but this has not worked. I feel sick everytime I use it but with 7 of us in this house I cannot afford not to use it! Is there any product I can get that will do anything here???? Thanks ever so much.

The drum on the inside of my washer is stained blue and dont know how to remove the stain. It is from a pair of new blue jeans that were washed in my washer by one of my sons friends. It looks sort of like blue dye in the inside of my machine which is white in color.

I have a 3300 square foot house. It has two masters, one which is our guest room. We have a kitchen, breakfast nook, large living room, formal dining room, study, half bath, two full baths, fitness room, and laundry that we use on a continual basis. I work full time and am taking an online course. My husband also works full time and refuses to help me clean up, yet he does not pick up after himself. We have no children yet. How do I keep this house clean and get some sleep at night as well?

Aside from white vinegar, because that's not working. Unfortunately the water spots/stains have been there a while. Are there any substances that can be used to get them out???

Thanks

My caveman husband wants to pull them down and hose them off...but I'm sure theres a better way out there? I'm afraid that the WHITE string/threading/rope that holds them together might turn brown from the water or the dirt? I know now how insane it is to have white wood blinds.....
