If you take a piece of stainless steel and rub your hands with it under running water, it will work.

My daughter works in food prep in a local restaurant. She cuts onions all day long. She uses fresh lemon after washing her hands with soap and water. She always leaves a pleasant aroma when she walks through the house. Like a living air freshener!

This is gonna sound really weird, but believe it or not it works. After you slice the onion, rub your hand or fingers over your kitchen faucet, providing it is the chrome kind and the metal somehow takes away the smell....try it, it really works

After you've finished cutting your onion, get your hands wet and rub them on the spigot of the kitchen faucet. Sounds insane but for some reason it works.

I have to agree w/ garage dude. I learned this on Martha Stewart one day! Just rinse the knife you are cutting garlic or onion with under running water and rub your fingers along the sides (not the blade obviously!). The steel works like magic!

I had the same problem and my sister in law told me that when I wash my hands to rub them back and forth on my my faucet and the smell will disappear. I tried it and it works every time.

You can try rubbing lemon on your hands but I have taken a silver spoon or knife and held the utensil while washing my hands and rubbing the spoon or knife over my hands. This really works!! I imagine you could also use a stainless steel utensil also.

rub your hands on stainless steel and rinse them. I have a stainless steel sink, but you can rub them on the faucet or a pan. I don't know why it works, but it does everytime.
