Your pipes are clogged and all of the yucky buildups are coming loose and creating a smell of probably old rotten food combined with dirty sock water. I suggest that you go down to the supermarket and purchase a cheep bottle of lye and use as directed in all sinks drains ect. see if that works.

There are a few points where things interconnect.
With us the Dishwasher is hooked up under the sink to the sink drain basically. Some times the Dish Washer puts out so much water so fast the gunked up drain can't handle it the water starts coming up in the sink. It's awful but we live in an apartment complex that keeps going down hill so nothing we can do.
I would say some where along the line either pipes are too small to handle all these fast powerful mordern appliences or the pipes are too gunked up. Maybe a combo of things. Something frustrateing is some things cause the metal in the metal pipes to thicken (don't ask,.. too long to explain, too much for your head right now). Also your pipes or water could suck. It seems like sucky water is spreading around here some how,.. I mean it's getting worse for homes and then slowly getting nasty like it was in afore mentioned homes and worse in afore mentioned homes.
If it's your water your water company will SUCK and tell you JUNK,.. and then in the future it will be discovered this was all very dangerous to your health.
Some pipes and some water are TOXIC and POISONous,.. and people like me nootice we can't stand this stuff then decades later someone catches it and gets the right attention and companies in trouble >.<
GOOD LUCK!!! >.< Because things suck this is going to be expensive or not fixed without you guys moving to escape it.

First, i'd say the scent is a symptom of a challenge. attempt this. placed about a million/2 cup of baking soda contained in the sink and dump a cup of white vinegar into it to artwork on effervescent the priority out of the drain. After an hour or so run very warm water for various minutes and be conscious if that enables. you are able to attempt this in a lot of of the drains to assist flush out the line. once you've a dishwasher, it may want cleansing. the bottom spinner in maximum all dishwasher will raise instantly up and also you may sparkling the show less than it. seem on the spinners and be conscious if the holes are clogged. %. them out with a nut %. or toothpick to sparkling the junk out. Then placed it decrease back at the same time. you are able to run some cups of White vinegar by a cycle and that is going to sparkling it significantly. you'll have trash contained in the elbow less than the sink. till now putting something into it . placed a bucket less than it and open both connections to the elbow and empty out any trash that would want to have accrued. and not using a garbage disposal you may want to be very careful about garbage getting down the drain. good luck on the answer.

It is not your washing machine..... You have a backup in your pipes some where. Because the water is backing up to your kitchen sink thee is a smell. Do you have a garbage disposal ???? If the answer is yes, then, this what you are smelling. You may need to snake out the pipes starting from the laundry room (could be lint in pipes) to the kitchen.. You can not get rid of the smell until the pipes are cleaned out....

your sink trap is suppose to keep smell from coming up. There is always suppose to be a water barrier between you and the smell. If this is pushing the water barrier back into your sink, then you have venting problems in the design of your plumbing. You need help or will have to put up with the smell.

You need the assistance of a professional plumber, as it sounds like your washing machine is not installed correctly, and it is flushing the water trap, allowing sewage smells to enter your kitchen.

When water sits, the oxygen which is found in fresh water begins to fill with anaerobic bacteria.... it causes the water to go black. That means that all the oxygen is gone out and nothing can live in it but the bacteria.....
Sounds like you have stale water sitting in your pipes... Either you must drain your pipes, or run some water through it.... But, something is piling up there.....
Sorry I couldn't be more specific.....

put a gallon of cheap bleach down the washer drain, the sink, the bathroom sink, the tub....do that when nobody will be using the drains for a few hours at least. you may have a partial plug in one of the common lines.
