Look at the hardware store for a food (poisonous) that they can take back to the hiding place with them. For ants it is called Terro, but I can't remember the name for the cockroach food. They may even be living next door where the people are not so clean and coming to your side to "visit". You need something that will get the whole bunch of them. The roach motels are a good alternative in the meantime. Even fly paper might catch them but then you have to deal with the sticky mess and the dead bug stuck to it. Keep after them they can multiply pretty fast and don't be afraid to notify the landlords association.

Good luck.

you have to bomb the whole apartment building. the roaches end up going deep into the walls. try seting traps and change to different kinds of bait. there is a bait out there that will make the roaches infertal and pass along the poisen to the rest of the nest. When the weather starts to get colder the roaches go deeper to where its warmer.

I worked as a pest control technician and I can tell you from experience, roaches are one the hardest pest to get rid of. If you live in an apartment, your landlord or whoever you are renting from should provide pest control. If not contact your local housing authority. They cannot rent an apartment that is infested with roaches, it is a health hazard.

Get some roach motels and try the bombs again, too. It's also important that you keep a tidy place. If they have nowhere to hide and nothing to feed on they won't be around so much.

first start a fight with the landlord then if that don't work leave cracker crumbs in front of the landlord door (then the roaches will go there) and if that don't work just burn the place down and find a better place to live

Get a Gecko; they love to eat roaches and they are environment friendly. They also make good pets.

never leave food on your dining table, you're really inviting them to a night party..left-overs must be inside your fridge..I know this chore sucks but try to throw your garbage if there's left-overs inside also, and from time to time not every night though to avoid harming your pets, just choose at least 2 spots inside your house you think a hiding place and just spray-on..and never use those brands not passed QA. hope these will help, I know the feeling, just to see one i go crazy..So let the battle begin!!!

being an apt manager myself, the best solution was an application of a form of transparent gel, used by exterminators... the bldg has been roach-free ever since (touch wood)!

what i would do I use bleach on the counter that strong smell will get the strong sense and they will leave and when you eating always keep the place clean. And also tell your landlord and let your landlord call the exterminator.
