Aside from white vinegar, because that's not working. Unfortunately the water spots/stains have been there a while. Are there any substances that can be used to get them out???

Thanks

WD-40. It`s great for cleaning alot of things. Will remove cup marks left on wood. # of things. I found this on WD-40 website and use it for cleaning up lots of things.
It will not harm anything. One of the ingredients in WD-40 is fish oil, they will never tell you everthing that's in it.....GOOD STUFF

There is a product called "Barkeepers Friend" it is excellent at removing hard water spots it comes in a Comet type cleanser container. Make sure you wet the area first make a paste use a sponge and apply even pressure, it may take one or two tries. Oh by the way you can find this at Wal-mart , Smart & Final and some grocery stores. good luck!

Trying boiling salt water poured into the carafe, mixed with about a tablespoon of baking soda. Let sit overnight and rinse well the next day.

Get some C.L.R from your local supermarket and follow the instructions. Works like a whiz.
