I cant seem to get it out of the carpet (The Candle Wax)
And my 9 month old Daughter who is crawling keeps picking at the candle wax & tries to eat it - Its all over the carpet - Makes me wonder if the person that lived here before us was some kind of Candle Freak -LOL
Please any suggestions on how to get it out without ruining the Carpet - this House is a Rental
Thanks

I scrubbed it with a nylon scrubber, but I've heard you're not supposed to use soap or chemicals on them. What can i do? Some pieces are burned on, and I can't seem to get them off with just water.

Thanks!

...is too loose. When I purchased it the fabric was nice and tight, but soon after it loosened up and I prefer more of a tailored look. How can I get it to shrink up?

I have 10 t-shirts in different colors, I don't know if the color will come off or not (when washing in the machine). I don't have time to hand wash them.

Is there any ways I can tell if their colors will come off or not?

Serious answer please, answer only if you know it. Thanx!

I have used bleach, but doesn't seem to work very well. Maybe I need to use it more of it? Do I just neet to use more elbow grease? Or is there something else that I can use?

I have tried to put boiling water on it. I have tried the iron and paper towels. This is my favorite jacket, and do not want to get rid of it.

This is an old rotary dial phone and I would like to get it looking good, the pink under the receiver where it is always covered is nice, but the rest has a darkened "off" color. I have cleaned it well, and I made a small scratch in the discolored area to see if the nice color was still in there, it is. Does anyone know how to get the nice "new" color back?

I'm trying to order an stackable electric washer/dryer unit, but I'm not sure if I have the necessary outlet (needs a 30-AMP outlet, right?). I have a strange-looking outlet, that looks like a standard US Grounded outlet, but the flat holes are horizontal instead of vertical. See the diagram below (ignore the dots, they're just there to make the picture appear correctly)
___ . . ___

What on earth is this outlet?

I once worked in a restaurant where they wouldn't let us smoosh roaches because it would cause more roaches to be born from the eggs that were then crushed into the floor. Spraying them was better because it killed the roaches and the eggs. I'm just wondering if that was an urban legend, or if it is true.....
