Windex makes two types - one is the blue ammonia-based cleaner, and the other is a clear vinegar-based. The clear cleaner is safer, although more prone to streaking on glass and shiny surfaces. But the ammonia is dangerous with bleach and cannot be used on any finished aluminum, such as the typical frames around showerdoors and some faucets. If you're willing to put in some extra elbow-grease, get the clear, vinegar-based cleaner.
Windex sells that variety in a cool new bottle with a weighted, flexible tube that sinks to the "bottom" no matter how the bottle is turned, allowing you to spray while the bottle is upside down or nearly empty.

Sure. I pour in on my floors when I mop, clean walls, do windows, cabinet tops, be creative. You don't need individual cleaning products for individual chores. Must be a marketing ploy to get us to buy their products.
