USE A LITTLE COMMET, A SCRUBBER AND RINSE IT WELL AFTERWARD. THE METAL IN A DRYER IS VERY DURABLE AND CAN TAKE A LOT OF ABUSE, LIKE ZIPPERS, ETC. I'VE DONE THAT, TOO AND IT WORKS FINE. YOU JUST NEED A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE. IF YOU GOT IT ON YOUR CLOTHES USE HAIRSPRAY TO GET IT OUT, WORKS LIKE MAGIC!

IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW...
HAIRSPRAY CAN BE FLAMMABLE, TOO!!

I've used rubbing alcohol and haven't had any problems. Just put some on a rag and rub it. It left a little tint of the pen mark behind but after a while the marks have now disappeared.

Rubbing alcohol.

It too is flammable, but here's a news flash. Do not use DRYER for about 30 minutes after you finish using rubbing alcohol.

Good luck.

I tried 'goo gone' it is an all purpose remover of everything, but it didn't work, and it made my dryer stink. So I just left it. It hasn't done any damage to my clothes. It's still there, a little faded but I just forgot about it. It should not do any damage to your clothes.
....well as long as it's not in like big sticky lumps of ink. Mine was just like melted areas, that if you touch it with your finger it didn't get on your skin.

The best way I have found to remove ink stains is to spray the area with hair spray, rub it in, then wash.

Use lighter fluid but let it dry before using dryer again, also rubbing alcohol, and fingernail polish remover
