Over the weekend I accidentally washed my shirt with a tube of chapstick. Now it has all these little oil spots on the shirt. I've tried pre-treating the shirt but that didn't work. What can I do to get these stains out??

My son was given a leather motorcycle jacket and the owners must have been smokers because it reaks of cigatette smell. I have tried soaking it with fabreze and hanging out to dry on a windy day. It smelled better for a few days but the smell is back and other suggestions??

Does anyone else have this problem? I pour water into my iron and set it on the steam setting. Once I am ready to iron, water drips out from the bottom and wets my clothes. It is really annoying. This happens with every iron I have owned, borrowed or used. Is there a trick for the water not to dribble out everywhere? It is especially annoying when I wear tan pants because I wind up with wet spots you can see. Please no disrespectful or mean answers!

I accidently spilt some oil after frying vegetable fritters, and the nearest thing I could see was a kitchen towel which I used to wipe it up. I've washed the towel several times with lots of water and detergent, but the smell doesn't go. What should I do to get rid of it?

Hello all & thank you in advance for any help. I'm looking for a 110 voltage electrical "No vent" (aka ventless) clothes dryer of good quality & medium at least capacity. As with any investment of quality appliances, I would perfer to invest in a higher quality appliance that will endure time and proper use. And I'm willling to wait, compare & research for the exact appliance decision v. I live in an apartment and has become an inconvience with constant break down of community dryer to hauling wet washed loads of laundry to a public laundromat. I have reasearched various searches and used compare features but the specifics of what I'm looking for were not listed. I have called various local places for advice while discussing online web site models & info (i.e. Best Buy, Home Depot and searched online but very little info except one of the very small combo washer & dryer units). I prefer a larger model and would like to find more variety as with any enlightened shopper. Thank you again.

Anyone (esp someone with pet hair to clean up) know of a really good vaccuum cleaner? I'd prefer one that allows you to clean the carpet too.

2006-10-10 16:12:43 · 9 answers · asked by intrigue899 3

I'm trying to choose a vacuum. It's the first I've bought as my OWN vacuum, and I do care a lot about quality and cleanliness. So... I'm putting a lot of thought into it, probably way more than what's normal. But anyhow, I can't decide whether to go bagged or bagless. I grew up with bagged vacuums and tend to think they're more heavy duty and do a better job. But then again, that may just be a bias of mine.

So anyway, what are you opinions? And feel free to suggest specific vacuums too if you like. Understand that I'm working on a BUDGET though. Thanks.
