Cant.....especially if you have used them for Custard or strong tomato products. I keep packaging from any foods i open to use for this and keep my best plastic containers for chilling etc..........

Just get out the Baking Soda (not Baking Powder). Wet the lid, sprinkle on a lot, and rub with a wet paper towel or dish cloth. It gets out most Tomato stains from any plastic item.

For me I use whole milk. Pour some in and let it sit for about twenty minutes. Some stains come out no problems. Sauce though I still haven't been able to get rid of those.

This is going to sound strange but it's almost always worked.
Make sure you wash the container well and then well........Set it out in the sun for the day.90% of my containers have cleaned up in the sun.

I spray mine with Chlorox Cleanup. sometimes it works,sometimes it doesn't, it just depends on the severity of the stain. Lemon Juice will also work, more green friendly with food containers.

rub raw salt into the stained area and leave overnight. next day
rub with soap powder then rinse thoroughly with warm water that should do the trick

its too much hassle
by the time you have done it you could just have gone out and brought a new one
alternatively if your using something that stains use an old ice cream pot

Try using watered down bleach - mix it in a spray bottle, spray it on and leave it for a while! Or maybe even use some coca cola - it's scary how that works, have you ever dropped a penny in coke??....

I wish I knew , my son keeps putting beans or spagetti in mine (orange stains) to heat up in the microwave , but he never uses the same one?? So all mine are stained GRRRRRRRR , sorry I had to blow my top !!!
