Does anyone else have this problem? I pour water into my iron and set it on the steam setting. Once I am ready to iron, water drips out from the bottom and wets my clothes. It is really annoying. This happens with every iron I have owned, borrowed or used. Is there a trick for the water not to dribble out everywhere? It is especially annoying when I wear tan pants because I wind up with wet spots you can see. Please no disrespectful or mean answers!

You may want to try setting the dial to a higher temp. Also, try letting a little steam escape before actually ironing. I keep a fairly worn kitchen towel nearby when I iron. If I want a crisp crease in a pair of slacks or sleeve of a shirt or blouse, I wet the cloth, ring it out slightly and place it over the garment and press right over the cloth. After it dries, you have a nice professional look without the professional price.

yes i happened to me, but try to lets the iron make the steam or let it's get really to make steam first So if you are fill the iron up with water than plug it in than let it gets hot pick up the iron hold it for a minute and see if the water dripping or not not just ironing your cloth that way if it going to drip water it drip some where else not your cloth.

More work, I know, but you might having some sort of extra cloth handy (maybe a washcloth or hand towel). Before starting on the pants--run the iron over the extra cloth a few times until your iron has stopped leaking. Just a thought. Good Luck

Yea this happens to me also...make sure you aren't filling the water to the top and after you pour it wait a few mintues before ironing...sometimes when you pour and iron too fast the water doesn't have time to go into the iron and spills out...if this continues to be a problem even after this...I would invest in a nicer iron.

I've had the same problem regardless of what iron I've used. So annoying that I've resorted to misting with a spray bottle instead of steaming. Fortunately I have very little to iron as I put my clothes on hangers as soon as they come out of the dryer.
I'll be watching for answers to your question.

palms down Rowenta. i like the steamer and the steam iron. I paid $one hundred ten for the steamer and approximately $60-eighty for the iron. i like the iron through fact it may be used vertically, it provides extreme puffs of steam that truly get deep wrinkles out of heavier fabric, like wool fit and fabric fabric. i like the steamer considering which you do no longer could fill the reserviour oftentimes, it does not spit and bypass away water on clothing and draperies like different manufacturers i've got owned and it additionally works on heavier fabric as properly as sheer fabric without harm.
