Try a little oven cleaner....ovens are lined with enamel which is a form of glass so it shouldn't hurt the pot.

Dawn dishwashing liquid is by far the best. There was, a few years ago, a big oil spill on a freeway in Ohio. Proctor and Gamble donated a truckload of Dawn and soaked the road. Voila. There is nothing I haven't soaked (including burnt stains) that Dawn doesn't remove.

with burnt food on the pan, the quickest way to remove it is by boiling water with it again,, believe it or not. After the water boils, allow it to simmer for sometime. The heat loosens the burnt food, once loose, you can clean it with any ordinary cleaner.
or you could try using CLR, or even sugarsoap.

Dishwasher soap will not damage your glass pie pan. It is even dishwasher safe. Please tell me you just added boiling water and you didn't boil the water in the pie plate. Try a little bleach and very hot water. Let t soak for a long tiem then scrub with steel wool. That should clear it up. Then rinse well or even stick in the dishwasher to make sure it is well rinsed.

lemons and water, lots of heat and let it soak in then scrap away. If the pan or pot can go on the stove or oven let it boil rapidly for a few minutes, then cool down so you can handle it , then scrap away

I agree with Radiofree. I also use Dawn on my and my kids cloths, when there is grease food stains on them .It even works if I don't catch it and they come out of the dryer. Just put some right on the spot , and it comes right out

pour out the water, and paper towel it really dry, then take easy off oven cleaner, the original one, not the fume free, and spray it on, should come off in no time...may have to repeat it, but should lift the stain/residue right off...did this to a pyrex baking dish, and came out brand new...

agree with the rest who say ... put it back on the stove and boil water in it til the burnt stuff lets go... starts to look like a really bad, thin gravy, but it works.

believe it or not, glass pots are porous. so any burn will stick to the pan and won't come off unless you scour it with a thick brillo pad. burn food stain won't come off by soaking because any food particles that would otherwise come out because they are still greasy have literally turned to carbon and the only way to get rid of it is with a good arm and brillo pad
