Please give me some tips. I live in a house that is 3 years old, I do not keep windows open much at all, I change air filters often, but have such a super dusty house. I'll dust and the next day is a nasty thick layer of dust on everything. In the sunlight you can see the dust fly. I try and try to keep up with it....such as vaccuuming 2 to3 times weekly, and dusting 2 times weekly. I do own a dog, but with cleaning so frequently I thought dust wouldn't be a problem. Looking for help!!!

It usually says use a tank (a sink) with hot water and dish detergent when hand washing dishes. But, what about putting detergent onto the sponge, wash the dishes. Then rinse the dishes with hot water. Shouldn't bacteria get killed this way too?

For a 3 Br 2Ba house that hasn't been cleaned in 8 months or more, and I mean the works; microwave, fridge in & out, blinds, windows, showers, bathrooms, floors, dusting, major vacuuming, and placing everything back where it belongs like knicknacks.

P.S. Men live there hence no woman present.

I was wondering what household cleaning products are safe for the septic system... I've only heard of products that you have to special order... I want to be able to go to my local grocery store and buy it instead.
Bleach isn't safe, but at what amount used is OK? I still need to clean, but I don't want to hurt my septic system.
Also, Is Listerine safe? Since it's a product that kills germs. I realize that not much goes down the drain, but still it's a grem killer.

I have a couple of pairs of pants that have a yucky smell to them. They had the smell when I bought them, and I don't know how to get rid of it. It's almost as if the fabric itself has the smell. I never even noticed it till I got them home. And they were bought on separate occasions and from different stores. Does anybody know how to get the smells out of them???

I purchased a black dye kit to enhance my black clothing. The instructions are very vague. I am concerned about the residue left behind in the washer. Do I double rinse? Do I let them soak?
Thanx y'all!

How to get the puke smell out of a couch. I have tried Febreeze carpet cleaner, upholstery cleaner, baking powder and soda, I tried bleach. Even regular air freshener. I have also tried cleaning the foam pads and the covers, nothing I do is working. Is it best just to junk it?
