Cleaning & Laundry - September 2006

I was once shown a product that was like a powder that when rubbed on the carpet stain it turned somewhat damp.It came with a hand brush to agitate the stain and oh my God it worked like a miracle.Unfortunetaly the person who showed me this product told me it had been dicontinued,why??,I don't know it was a great product.Please help with something similar or a home remedy type.

How do you get pen off of a canvas coach wristlett???? I can't wash it and dont want to put anything on it that will damage it or has to be washed out. I just got it a few weeks ago for my birthday, please help!!!!!

I clean houses and am worried about the toxicity of the chemicals I use almost everyday. I don't use gloves, and will not, so I'm trying to find some cleaners that don't hurt me, and heck, the environment too, while I'm at it. The cleaner has to be multipurpose, has to work well, and also disinfects or is at least antibacterial. What kind of cleaners do hospitals use? Where can I get these cleaners?

Our house is pretty spacious, but I feel like it is just more room in which to collect junk and clutter. Our kitchen especially is just piled with mail and papers and just has stuff everywhere. Do you wash all light clothes together, darks together, no matter what the item? Or do you separate them by function? For example, all towels together, all socks, all jeans? Streetclothes separate from jammies, etc..?
