get ice cubes and apply them to where the candle wax is and chip and peel away the wax then if it all don`t come off(you did`nt say what material) you can take a iron with a old pillow case and get the rest up if needed.

If it is cloth....Use a paper towel folded in half and place on the wax. Over the paper towel use wax paper. Then use a warm iron and hold it there. The paper towel will absord the melted wax.

warning about candel wax on leather chairs: be very careful when
removing wax because it can ruin: best effort is use cleaner made for stain removal only let it soak good then wipe it off

Even a little exposure in midday sunlight would do the trick. No need to take any chances with artificial heating with iron etc.But see that exposure does not affect any sensitive surface.

put a piece of paper on the wax, then iron over it with a medium heat.. it will melt the wax, and the paper will soak it up.

Hard surface. ie: Vinyl, leather, etc. Use ice and flake it off.
Cloth: Use warm iron as suggested.
