For a 3 Br 2Ba house that hasn't been cleaned in 8 months or more, and I mean the works; microwave, fridge in & out, blinds, windows, showers, bathrooms, floors, dusting, major vacuuming, and placing everything back where it belongs like knicknacks.
P.S. Men live there hence no woman present.

try charging by the square foot...say 20 cents per foot. This number sounds like a deal to the homeowner, but an average 3bd 2ba house measures 2200 square feet, so the bill would be around $440. Sounds like a fair price to clean a stye like what you described. If they balk at the price, hand them a broom and a wash rag, and walk away laughing. They will call you back for sure.

I would charge $25. per hour, 6 hrs a day, until done, (2-3 days?).

I use to clean houses and I am sure the going rate for that amount of work would be at least 200.00.

cleaning companies charge alot $150.00 or more
people who clean on the side [ in california] charge $25.00 per hour and up
