My friend got this couch for free from a friend when he moved into his apartment. He would like nice English leather chairs to go with it, but he's a poor college student living on his own. So what are some better alternatives??

My hibiscus leaves have little tiny white spots all over them, and some of them have black crud of some type on them, too. There are no white spots underneathe the leaves, which would seem to rule out aphids. Any clues, anybody? Thanks!

I stick my hamsters Moley and Fluffin into the dryer for a few minutes without the static sheet... Then they run around the house and all the dust bunnies magically stick to their fur... Now that is my kind of housework!

Put a rug in one spot and after some foot traffic will go across the room. Granted it takes a day or so, but how can I stop this? Thanks!

I have a gas dryer I'm trying to hook up. I have bought a gas line kit from the hardware store that has all the parts I need (fitings for each end, steel gas line, teflon for gas, etc.).

My question is, do I need to tape the flared ends too? or just the regular male ends?

I say garden but really it's a tiny (2 meters by 3 meters) cobbled courtyard. It's walled off and has plants round the perimeter, mostly year long greens, ivy and some seasonal flowers.
There's a small fountain in the wall which has fresh water.

Now I put out bread every day and get the most adorable little birds, I'd love to do more (am a sucker for animals) so is there anything else? Do I have to wait till winter for balls of seeds?

I'm moving at the end of September and while this isn't the first time I've moved, it's always such a pain in the rear.

Does any one have any good ideas or tips on making the process easier?

I can either drain it to my backyard and if so how deep into the ground must I dig for the drain line not to get frozen in the winter, or I think I can drain it into the sewer line.

We just purchased a house and have not yet landscaped the backyard. We've been on vacation this past month and it's been raining like crazy and our weeds have gotten so huge! I tried pulling them out one evening and had a allergic reaction to the pollen and my husband works long hours. Is there something I can purchase that can kill large weeds? All responses are appreciated. :)

My husband and I have gone round and round on this for 10 yrs! Silly- I know, but if this is one of our biggest disagreements, we are in pretty good shape! I say the printed side faces down so that when you get in bed, you have both printed sides facing your body- top and bottom. My husband thinks that both the fitted and flat sheets printed sides should face up towards the ceiling so that the wrong side of the top sheet is facing your body. Can anyone help?

Most everyone has a "bad experience" story at the Home Depot. Where I live, there are other places to get what I need, so I no longer go to HD unless I am forced to for some emergency repair or something.

Why do so many people still go there?!?! Please STOP!

I've got a tractor and was wondering if I could use either the rear blade or rear box blade to level my lot using only the existing soil. There's a few low spots so I figure I could make everything the same level to fill in the lows.

1. Went in looking for 4 bags of weed and feed, the pallet had 3 bags remaining and the guy just before me bought two of them (will be restocked in two weeks).

2. Went in looking for 7 sheets of 3/8" plywood, the pallet on the floor had 3 sheets left (the damaged ones everyone picked through), and non up above on the rack.

3. Went in looking for 5/gallon pails of deck stain for $115.00/each. They didn't have the 5/gallon pails and tried to sell me (5) 1/gallon pails for $28.00.

4. I waited 25 minutes for a "flooring" specialist before I tore the customer service desk a new one for someone never showing up in the first place.

5. I love the fact that when you need help, there are only 5 semi-trained employees hiding somewhere in the store, and when you do find one, their on the phone with someone like Ty Pennington.

Humor me and convince me these are not isolated incidents. Maybe the store by my house employs the bottom 10th the HomeDepot Univeristy graduating class.
