I was wondering if it would be safe/possible to heat my dog house with the dryer vent? He is a husky and does not need constant heat, nor does it want it, so the dryer heat would be sufficent (we do one-three loads a day!). I was wondering if this is unsafe or if anyone had any suggestions on how to do this safely. I am thinking it's a great way to recycle the lost heat we pay for! Does anyone have any suggestions or comments?
Thank you!!

I had a project manager come out from the company I used to do a bathroom rehab and he recommended and ultimately sell me on the replacement of the p-trap. The reason being we had a slow drain. Now the guys out here are trying to tell me that the drain works fine w/ a thourough cleaning and router. It works OK, but should I try and negoriate the price if they omit this procedure I already paid for? How much should I knock off? Is the P-Trap replacement a good idea or can I get by with regular cleanings?

We recently had rain and i noticed a corner in the wall was damp... anyway, with the leak resolved, i just saw this very faint gray area on the damp area (the wood is still unpainted) which was like drawing a small line using gray chalk on the wood ever so lightly. As i brushed it off with my hand, it came off. Now, i do not know if this is mold or just dust .. or the residue with the water that just dried up... oh yeah, and what do i do with it?

Is there a way to get what appears to be cigarette burns out of what I think is a corean (sp?) counter top? The countertop is that plasticy looking stuff... sort of half plastic / half marble looking. I think it's corean (not sure how to spell that). We just bought this house so I'm not sure. I don't think it's a curling iron burn... pretty sure it's from cigarettes. Can it be buffed out or something?

I have a small apartment, only one window per room. I would really love to have a few plants but I don't know what plants would thrive in this type of an enviroment.

I'm framing some work of mine for the first time, I was wondering the best way to cut a right angle. I don't have a table saw, just a really good hand held and a dremil to make the groves with to hold the glass and art in place. I'm just worried about cutting the right angle. Help!

We Just got a small AC unit to put in our window. our original set up was having 1 box fan one OLD *** WW2 fan and some other smaller fan running to "cool" the house.

My question is do you think it is more expensive or run an AC in one small room only a few hours a day

or is it more expensive to run the fans allday and all night.

thankx in advance.

Im only wondering because the person we sublet from said it would be way way more expensive.

I feel so dumb. I turned off both the cold & hot water to see if it would shut the water off outside (didn't). But when I turned it back on, no water comes out of the tap on the hot side (kitchen & bathroom!). I keep fiddling with both, along with the valve - it comes on, but doesn't stay on. Help!

I am currently building a house and love the look of window casings, but I don't want white blinds. The casings will be painted white. I want 3 inch brown wood blinds, but not if it looks funny. The house we are building is based on the arts and crafts style of architecture and has wood exposed beams in the kitchen. Any homedecorator ideas would be great!

My dad's b-day is next week and he wants a new weed wacker/trimmer. He said he wants one that the string is easily reloaded. My question is some are advertised as being fixed-line and others as curved-line string. What is the difference between fixed-line and curved-line

I have just put two coats of Crown bathroom and kitchen emulsion in the toilet and it's totally uneven and patchy. I don't consider myself a bad painter, so I don't understand why it's still so uneven and marked. I am using a paint brush rather than a roller - might that be the reason why?

I just moved to southern CA and want to store my winter jackets in my garage. I will be placing them in a plastic container and putting them on a shelf. Do I need to put mothballs or cedar chips in the plastic container to keep mice away? Or is there something else i should do? I want to make sure they don’t make a nest in my winter jackets.
