Yes, you could put your converse in the washer and still be ok as long as you're washing it with soap and in cold water only (NO BLEACH!!). Also when drying you should only air dry so that the rubber doesn't get tweaked in the heat of the dryer. If they are white colored converse you also have to look out at how they are drying because they can get yellow water stains from minerals in your water system. With colored converse, fading of the color may occur.

My husband and son have matching Converse canvas shoes and I have washed them in the washing machine AND put them in the dryer and they DO NOT shrink. Put them on low heat for about 40 minutes and let air dry the rest of the way.

I have washed that type of shoe before.I put them in the wash with towels.Then just air dry in front of a fan.If they are white,use very little bleach if any.Hope this helps...Oh,remove the laces before you wash....

It's okay to put canvas shoes in the washer with other similar colors. DON'T DRY THEM IN THE DRYER OR THEY WILL SHRINK. You will have to air dry them, outside is best. They will take up to 24 hours to dry all the way. I did this for all of my kids gym shoes as they were growing up.

yes,i used to work where we had chuck taylors as part of uniform and they got washed alot so an occasional washing should not hurt them.wash them by themself.
