Where is the cheapest place to buy? And if you have experience with them, what size/shape would be the most fun? =) I can handle a little occasional pain, but I don't want to be terrified of my magnets =/ thanks!

Our toilet cistern has stopped filling. It has a dual push button arrangement in a small plastic panel on top of a ceramic tank - I can't see how to get into it, as the button and panel seem to be locked together somehow, and the whole lot attached to the internal mechanism - I can see all this by peeking under the panel when lifting an edge. Any ideas how to undo such an arrangement, anyone...?

If I can get into the cistern, I guess it will be a small matter of freeing up the float mechanism which may be stuck, but until I'm in...

Thanks!

They've been laying on it a lot recently and I think it has burrs that are causing bumps in their skin. I've tried pulling it out but it always comes back.
Any help is much appreciated.

I came home tonight and I live on the 3rd floor of a 3 floor apartment building and the stench on the 3rd floor is unbearable. I have lived at this building for almost 3 years andit has had it's fair share of smells but the stench normally doesn't penetrate our apartment. Tonight we came home and the 3rd floor reeked of ungodliness yuck.

I called the maintenance "emergency" line and he came and told me he couldn't pinpoint the smell and left, while the 3rd floor still reeks of dead bodies and asshole. I'm not a whiner about small things but I can't sleep because of the horrid smell.
I have a high tolerance but this is bad.

What else can I do?

Should I paint all 4 walls one color or should I have an accent wall with a different shade? the color is a honey yellow. if so which one should be an accent wall? I can't paint the ceiling. Floors are hardwood. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

I am on the 2nd floor of a 3 story building. The layouts for my unit and the one below are the same. I inspected my kitchen and don't see any evidence of a leak. The association has asked me to call a plumber. Is it my responsibility to call a plumber?

We just moved into this house and in the back yard is a tree that has groups of serrated leaves and clusters of what look like blueberries or huckleberries. I have never seen a tree like this and have tried all the tree identification sites to find out what it is. I have had no luck. This is definately not a bush it is a tree. If anyone can help me identify this I would appriciate it. I have young children and would not like them to get sick if these berry like things are poisonous. If anyone has any pictures so that I can verify by sight what this tree is I would be very greatful. Thanks in advance

I want to move my washer & dryer. It would be from inside the house to the garage, it's only about 10 feet but there is a dividing wall between the 2 areas.

The electrical for the dryer and the taps for the water in are no problems but it is the drain I need some advice with!

I've had 2 plumbers have a look. The 1st one said he'd want to tear up the floor and the garage cement to install a proper drain (he personally said he wouldn't do it if it were his house). The 2nd one talked about installing a laundry sink beside the new spot and putting in some kind of pump (?), then feed the water back to the original drain - I didn't quite understand him but the only structural work would be to put a small hole in the wall. He estimated about $1,000 for this option (not including the dryer move).

Since it's only a few feet, I'm wondering why I couldn't just get an extra long drain hose and run it through the wall? It would be maybe 8 or 9ft... Thanks!

I believe we have poison ivy growing in our back yard. It's got 3 leaves and a long root that spreads a long length through the yard. When you pull up the weed, it's connected to this long vine/root that spans many feet. I've read that it's almost impossible to get rid of. We've sprayed the plants with Round-up, which kills them, but more sprout up. WHO DO WE CALL?

The describtion of the bug:
Has a copper colored body and can be as little as maybe the plastic on the end of a shoestring or as big and wide as a eraser, you know the big rhombus ones. It has, seemingly, 100 legs and the legs color are a striped pattern of black and like a cream color. I only notice the pest in my home during the summer months and occasionally see them outside. Any ideas?
