It's in the garbage. If you have a small basket inside your washing sink, try changing it for a smaller one that makes the forks stick out, and then empty the basket frequently so that garbage doesn't pile up and hide forks,etc.; or just remove the basket completely.
This used to happen for me with my tea spoons!
Try this. It should work.

They left to start a forking colony in the back yard. When they're not forking they're trying to spoon.

Walk to the kitchen now and you see the second drawer on your right near the sink? Open that drawer and see a table cloth? Yup, remove the table cloth and TA-DA! See the forks? Oh and ask your sister stop hiding them.

In the trash, my 13 year old throws out the flatware (usually 1 or 2) for everytime she has to wash the dishes!

got kids? they are out in the yard or in the garage no kids? check by the shoe rack I always use a fork to untie knots

Have you been dieting?
Sometimes they'll feel left out and feel useless and not needed when a person is dieting.
Or maybe they got jealous and left cause the dish ran away with the spoon.
