I came home tonight and I live on the 3rd floor of a 3 floor apartment building and the stench on the 3rd floor is unbearable. I have lived at this building for almost 3 years andit has had it's fair share of smells but the stench normally doesn't penetrate our apartment. Tonight we came home and the 3rd floor reeked of ungodliness yuck.
I called the maintenance "emergency" line and he came and told me he couldn't pinpoint the smell and left, while the 3rd floor still reeks of dead bodies and asshole. I'm not a whiner about small things but I can't sleep because of the horrid smell.
I have a high tolerance but this is bad.
What else can I do?

I have sprayed a whole can of Lysol neutra air but the odor kicks the scents butt and then some.

I would contact other tenants and see if they're all there, maybe someone died. Call the landlord and tell him your going to call the police and ask for a welfare check on the other tenants to make sure they're all right.
Either this or something, someone ? died somewhere in the building. You shouldn't have to live with that, I wouldn't.

Use a deodorant all over your home. The stench could be because of someone living below you.Talk with other neighbors.

try some incense for a longlasting temporary relief if you tolerate them.
