We have a crummy old fence in the front yard and we'd like to put in something that's nicer to look at and that actually works, unlike the existing one.

Any ideas for making a new fence? It doesn't need to be particularly tall or fancy.

We have an old cracked concrete driveway running down the side of our house which we don't use. We would like to remove it to make space for a garden. What is the best way to go about removing it?

By best, I mean cheapest and easiest, in that order.

I can't see any way for it to have gotten in. It was trying to get out, which it couldn't. There was nothing beside the tub that it could have climb on, I just can't figure out how it got in. Is it possible for it to get into the septic tank somehow, and come through the drain? Is there anything I can do to prevent something else coming in?

I'd like to build a few mobility ramps for my aging dog who is finding it painful to use steps. I've checked the price of ready-made ones but each one is in the hundreds, and seeing as I need a few, I just cannot afford them. I haven't had much DIY experience in the past but am the kind of person who can usually do whatever I put my mind to.

So can anyone tell me whether I'm being realistic? Also could you direct me to any sites with information on how to build them? I have some ideas but it would be a great help if I had instructions and what kind of equipment I would need. Thanks

I bought a new top and i am attatched to it now! and it is covered in black smudgy stains, anyone know what is wrong with the washer or what the stains could be?
And poss how to get the stains out , Im not sure what the stains are though..

The home had a leak in the roof and the ac was off causing mold to spread throughout the house. I plan on tearing down the sheetrock from the ceilings and walls with mold on them.

I have all of the safety equipment but am not sure of the best solution to use on the mold. I have seen so many different kinds and would like to know what works best.

Any suggestions??

I moved into a75-yr-old bungalow that I love, all except the kitchen. This was my grandparents' home until they passed away, and then a rental property for several decades. The kitchen is very large, with counters, cabinets & appliances in a 'U' shape at the far end, and a large space for a table where you enter into it from the dining and family room. My mother had custom cabinets done by a novice carpenter 20 yrs ago. They're honey oak, but just okay in quality. I'd love to replace them, but it's not in the budget yet. The appliances are at least new & black. Countertops, flooring & walls are dingy shades of beige. There's a set of small windows over the sink that let in the only natural light in the room. There was once a screened porch off the back kitchen door, & a third window in the kitchen by the eating area that let in more light. But my mom had the porch enclosed, so that window now looks out onto nothing. What techniques could I use to brighten this dreary room inexpensively?

She stated that every home she has sold in the neighborhood have all had termites. My neighborhood is only about 7 years old its still developing. I have never seen any termites around here and thought this was not sounding right. Is the guy she's using making this up? Hoping peple use him to treat for termites, because it has to be done to complete the sell. That would cost another $700.00 Any pointers on termites would be appreciated.
