I was wondering if anyone out there knew what kind of flower this was.

I thought at first it was a chrysanthemum but I haven't found any thing like that. Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

it is a lilac bush about10 yrs old. we have one and they bloom in the spring..the scent from the flowers is amazing! most common colors are light purple, white, dark purple and you can even find pink.

Judging by the size and shape of the leaves and flowers it is a lilac.
