Turn off all pilots, including the heater, for Pete's sake. A home on the lake near us just blew up. The guy was bombing the basement for spiders and didn't turn off all the pilots. His house came up in the air about four feet, came down with a crash. My son watched it.
The guy had major burns from the initial flash. The house of course was a mess.

The initial smoke and gas from the bomb is flammable and can cause an explosion.

The fumes coming out of a bug bomb are very explosive, turn off the pilot lite!!!! You do not want to breath that stuff, You can leave the house for a couple of hours can't you?

Only if you want to blow up the house . Think about it !

Closing the basement door will not prevent the fumes from getting into the living area of your residence if you are running the AC . Use some common sense and be careful !

without a doubt! leaving the pilot light on could spark an explosion, I would recomend turning all eletric items off even going as far as to unplugging the fridge. and I would also recomend leaving the house the fumes can still travel all through the house even with the door shut just not as quick.

If you don't, your house can explode like a bomb itself. And no you should NOT remain in the house! Remove all animals, animals food dishes, and children! When you return, the children's toys need to be washed before they put them into their mouths.

It is a bummer to have to wash all that you do, but please do what the package instructions say to do such as rewashing dishes, clothing, lower walls if you have children, and all the rest.

Hang in there. If you got every bug you were trying to kill, the good news is you'll never have to go through this again.

Yes, since the vapor is potentially flammable. It's okay to stay home if the treated area is closed off and uninhabited for several hours. Turn off any central heating/cooling systems first since they circulate air from one part of the house to the rest when running.
