It appears that they may not have been watered for probably 2 days...I have continued to water them regularly (just as they were prior to missing the 2 days)...Is there anyway I can restore the vitality and color of the plants? I can take pix but I truly believe that they are just wilting a bit. I appreciate the help.

We have a large pink / bluey pink flowering shrub in our garden but it seems to have suffered a little bit of wind damage. It also seems to be unable to support it own weight and some branches are falling over. Can someone tell me whether I should cut off these branches now, or tie the plant together or what else I can do to help it survive and thrive?

I've just had an oil stove installed and it works just fine except there is a smell of oil when it is running for a while...the installation seems ok..it was commissioned and there is plenty of ventilation in the room in which it's situated...there are no leaks of oil anywhere.....any suggestions would be welcome.

I saved this chair from being thrown into the litter. I suppose it's a high quality and real leather- chair. What do you think? I'd like to know what style this is, from which decade it might be and if it's worth a try to sell it? via ebay? Thanks a lot!

I have a Victorian house with a number of open fireplaces. The previous owner removed one and left it in the garden. I want to renovate it and put it back - but not to use just for decoration. The old fireplace is in several bits and i don't know what fits where. Can someone point me to a good website that shows the construction of a fireplace?

The estate agents particulars stated that house was 'newly renovated and modernised.' We dont want to lose the house but worried about the rewire. I understand it may cost around £2000, should we try and renegotiate sale price, ask seller to have it rewired or just ignore it?

I'm trying to to start apple seeds growing in the fridge.

-The seeds came from storebought apples.
-I wrapped 18 seeds up in 2 damp paper towels, fairly spread out. This was a few days ago. I keep dampening, but don't see any results.

Three problems I think:
-I might be making the seeds too damp?
-(My fridge is on the fritz), and it is maybe too cold?
-The seeds are genetically altered, and won't grow?

I'm not really a horitculturalist, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

(I'm not expecting good apples, and I know it takes 6 or 7 years; I just felt like trying.)

I have a tool shed and the roof is covered in moss - I looked closely and it seems that the roofing tiles are still intact, no rot - The moss seems to come off easily. Once I scrape it all off, I want to prevent more moss from growing. What is the best product for this?

(Please only respond if you sew and do this,or have things hemmed for you!)
Okay,im hemming 4 curtains for a friend...now i had to hem each curtain 10 inches,so i had to cut it,and hem..then i had to hem the hangers at the top in half. (dont know what their called, the things that slide onto the pole for the curtains to hang lol). usually i charge $3 when hemming shorts or pants for friends etc...But this was a bit harder,my friend said she would pay me more since she knew this was harder than when i usually hem her clothes. So anyways, how much would you charge altogether? basically it was a 2 in 1 per curtain job,and there is 4 curtains i did,i was thinking of charging 6-7 per curtain, but altogether that would be about $28 bucks, and my mom got shocked and said thats way to much,i should charge $10-20 altogether she said..but that seems low..so yeah, estimates anyone? it also to me 1 hour to sew each curtain(if that matters any)Thanks.

The water is about a half an inch deep in a pan that the actual unit sits in. Should this drip somewhere or is it O.K. for it to be there? Help!

I was watching a talk show and the topic was how dry cleaners have been charging women for a service they didn't do. You send your wedding gown to the cleaners to be preserved and they box it up all nice and pretty and seal it.The gown is preserved for 20 years air tight. This is where they get you because they know the box is not to be opened for at least 20 years so they don't do a thing to the gown. The host of the show had her gown preserved over 10 years and she was going to open it for the first time to see if her gown had turned yellow. She opened the box and her gown was a ugly dark yellow, she started to cry right there but then she got mad and said to everyone who is watching go get the box your gown is in and open it. I was scared to open mine but i did and it was horrible, my beautiful gown was now ugly yellow but not the hat the hat was still white. My question is can anything be done can it be dyed back to it's original white Can anything be done for my gown. Thank you

I want something simple enough that I can build it myself, and if the plans were free, that would be even better. I tried searching the web, but everything looked too complicated, or it cost money to get the plans.
