from my fence to the chair it looked wide so how does it do it?????

sometimes it just how the breezes blow... I watched an Orb spider sit on top of a post of my arbor and spin out a line of web, which the breeze carried off toward the nearby crepe myrtle tree.... it hit and stuck!.... she then used it as a walkway to the crepe and started her web..... the web ended up nearly two ft across and about two and a half ft tall..... the 'zipper' in the middle was all of eight inches long!!!....

baby spiders, just hatched, use the 'spin into the wind' method to make their first journey, too.... I got to watch that one a couple times.....

their web acts like a balloon- it is so light in weight that the slightest breeze can propel them in the air.
