It could be the Lack of Proper Customer Service Training. There may be an issue of the employee not really caring about the job that they were hired to do. Perhaps it could be a Lazy issue also. I would contact a Manager at the store and express your issue. Also you may want to find the headquarters phone number or address to discuss your concern. Most times you can do a web search for a business address that may also include an email address for costumer complaints.
I have had the same issue as you have described. They don't seem to be professional.
I will not enter another Home Depot Store, even if they gave their merchandise away for free.
I am now a loyal Lowe's customer because of the same exact issue.
Good Luck

I prefer Lowes, but sometimes I am forced to use Home Depot. I had to use a Home Depot for a remodel project due to the proximity of the store, in Savannah Ga. There was so much junk in the aisles that you couldn't get carts through. I thought it was a safety hazard. I complained to the managers and clerks every time I went there. They did nothing. Their pro-desk service can't come close to lowes commercial services. Now that I am back at home I shop at Lowes on a daily basis

Where I live, there is a walmart and a homedepot. That is it, honestly nothing else. We live in the middle of nowhere. If you want to find a lowes or something else you have to drive about an hour or more. Not worth it to get some nails or supplies. Besides I have never had a bad experience there. Everyone has always been very helpful and polite. I am sorry where you live they are not nice people, maybe you should think about moving somewhere where there are nice people in the community.

We go to Lowes because at Home Depot half the time you cannot get anyone to help and the other half if you do they don*t know eht answer to what yu are asking. They just had a big thing on Dateline or one of those programs showing the facts of Home Depots cheating people.

I go to HD because the Lowe's is filled with a lot of rude people who don't want to take their time away from gossiping with their coworkers to assist any customers. The paint department at Home Depot immediately helped me and even went out of their way to match the color I wanted for my room off of an old quilt I had. I can't bash them and won't stop shopping there.

Don't shop at the big box hardware stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Menards) unless you have to. Go to your hometown mom and pops hardware store. The service is great and if you don't find what you need they will tell you where you can get it.

I stopped shopping there years ago ~ I believe in supporting locally owned hardware stores where the employees are friendly, helpful, and know what they are talking about :)

I haven't had a problem and I hear they pay their employees better the Lowes. I usually go to which ever is cheaper and closer.

It's not that bad. Sometimes they have lower prices than the other big box stores.
Did Lowe's pay you to ask this question?
