Something that will stay green --> 365 <-- days a year, cold winters, hot summers? Something that blooms is a plus. I'm looking to replace ALL the grass in my front yard with something that won't require mowing, since my front yard is on a SLOPE. Half the yard has full sun, half has partial shade. ZONE 6.

All (serious) suggestions welcome. Most knowledgeable plant person gets best answer and my eternal gratitude.

My husband and I are moving in less than a month and we have several pet stains and pet hair on the carpet. Will a rug doctor take up the pet hair that the vaccuum won't take up? Should we hire a cleaner to come clean it? We are worried we won't get our $850 deposit back because of the damage and we didn't pay a pet deposit nor did we tell them we had a dog! :( (this is what we get I know) Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have read in several places not to plant trees close to a septic field bed as roots can damage the pipes. My bed is raised by several feet and there are a few apple trees beside it that are full grown and were there long before the field bed was built should I worry about this. My septic guy didn't seem concerned at all. Also my husband wants to put some of our wood for heating on the field bed but I think this is a bad idea as the weight could compact the soil and damage pipes. Am I right?

I need to redo a small garden area, triangular-shaped, that is very high profile as it is located on my property at a 4-way stop. Right now it is full of morning glory that is impossible(?) to get rid of so I may have to even use ground sterilizer. What creative ideas do you have for this space? I have a few ideas, but it is always fun to see what ideas others might have. Thank you in advance for your input.

There wasn't enough oil in the mix of my blower. I got it all apart. I haven't had a 2 cycle engine apart in years. There is no reed valves. The piston looks burned and flaky on top. Do I need to replace the piston or just the ring? Anything else? Thanks for any help.

I'm looking to get a tubliner and tub walls installed. 1 contracter already wanted to know who else I've looked into. I found that suspicous. He's tried to offer me a deal of $3800 for a new tub and walls. I have limited $$$ and don't want to get swindled. Any advise from experience or knowledge is appreciated.

my partner and I are in a disagreement and I was wondering what the consensus was on wreath hanging. Its a floral wreath and in my mindset I say it should be hung on the door outside.

He says it should be hung inside. My problem is its kinda ugly but it was a gift from his sister inlaw and neither of us want to offend her.

I have never in 30 years seen a wreath on a wall inside the house exception being Christmas time.

I have a small bathroom without the extra room for a cabinet to sit beside my vanity sink. I am thinking of buying a wall cabinet (at Lowe's or HD) and recessing it into the wall above my commode. I want the 12 in depth (for towels, Linen, etc.)without it sticking out that far. We are doing the remodeling so it is open to the studs. Has anyone tried this. I just have to try to match my doors with the vanity doors as close as I can.

We found a spider in the room the other night that resembled a daddy long legs with the exception of a larger body and a white belly. My friend took a whiff of the spider and described it as a drug trip. Hazy vision, completely disorientated, drooling, numb face, cold/numb nose, itching like crazy, nausea/vomiting, delirious.. Any clue what this thing was?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category. Couldn't find anything that had to do wtith spider questions.

We're thinking of buying this sofa. We know it won't be the most comfortable sofa around, but are having problem fitting a normal sofa through our door. We were wondering if anyone who has experience with similar products could let us know if they think it's really uncomfortable, etc. We do expect to keep it for a few years.

I read about it in one of my technology magazines and can't remember enough about it to do a decent search for it. Anyone else know where I can find the adapters for this?

It screws into the lighbulb outlet then the lightbulb screws into it.
